Eddie - very pleased with himself. He went go karting with work yesterday and his team came first... He IS however, now covered in bruised and unable to walk..

And then Lucy - who didn't want to be left out - who found a penny at the co-op on a walk up there with Eddie to buy beer and crisps.

cucumbers, sunflowers and birthday parties

Just took some pictures off the camera - this was the first crop of cucumbers, the first sunflower and the preparation for Lucy's birthday party. - note the superb artwork of the "pin the tail on the donkey" and the treasure island map.

Gotta be said that the listening to wimbledon at work via the BBC website is cool.

Windy

Nearly home time on Friday afternoon. This weekend should hopefully not be too hectic after the fun and games of Lucy's party last weekend. The forecast is due to rain... hope the wind lets up though as i'm getting fed up of trying to save sunflowers and maize plants from the wind.

Birthday Party

Phew. Glad that's over. 6th birthday party - held in our garden at home. Mostly OK though could have done with a lock on the guinea pig's cage and a barricade at the bottom of the staircase. 12 children - not too bad.

Cucumbers!

A garden update. Sunflowers are huge but not flowering, Sweetcorn is huge but not flowering. Cucmbers and tomatoes are producing and the courgettes have just started. The rocket is growing slowly and the chilli plnats are growing well - but no flowers yet.

Play House is finished

So the bits of the playhouse arrive last saturday morning and finally on the bank holiday monday a week later after much hard work from Eddie - it's finished. Here's a before and after shot.
