Also can report that both T & C enjoyed Wotsits today. Don't think I'm really allowed to let them have them yet - but I couldn't find any "baby crisps" so I decided to let them have a go.

SATS and sits

Lucy's SATS are back and seem pretty average so that's good.

Meanwhile Tom seems to have worked out how to sit up. He's sneaky - he does it when no-one is watching but he's often sitting when I've left him lying.

Thomas has teeth @ 9 months...ish!

Well at least one- he hasn't let me have a good look. So he's about 3 months behind Lottie there!

First Sunflower

Jan gave us asome sunflowers a few months ago - the first one is out...

Sweep's latest birdie

Today's bird escaped! Well - I hissed at Sweep until he left the house and Lucy stood by the catflap to keep him out. I pulled my trusty Marigolds on and picked up the bird, who had flown to a chair and perched on it, and put him on the Magnolia in the front garden so fingers crossed he's OK. Lottie witnessed it all too and found it all very funny - mostly when I was screaming hysterically at Sweep.

Nodding Tom

Eddie and I agree that Tom has added nodding to his repertoire. He has always liked shaking his head - but he's begun to nod as well. It's very sweet - an all body movement.

Success with a bowl of avocado and banana this morning.

Stash from Next

Fruits of Lucy's shopping trip - including: 3 pairs of leggings, 2 little skirts, 3 tops, 1 scarf, 1 belt and 2 pairs of shoes. She enjoyed it lots.

Lottie Pulls Herself Up

And she managed to stay up long enough for me to take a photo. This is the first time she did it too.

Oh well fancy that. In adding the "blogoversary button" over there on the right hand side of the screen (admittedly a bit nerdy but hey - Ed and Lucy are playing Rummikub and I've run out of websites to browse) - I have realised that I started my blog on 11th Spetember (i.e. twins birthday - albeit 3 years earlier)

Tigers and Mermaids

Lucy and Jenson today. Jenson wanted me to do Lucy first before he got enough courage.

Clever Tom

Tom worked out how to turn his musical cot mobile on.... at 4.45 this morning.

Action Lottie

Rascals in the kitchen

Tom makes some progress

Only a little bit though - he managed to get himself into a sitting up position from lying down this morning.

Definately fair to say that Lottie can crawl now (9 months). Tom shows no signs!

Sunday - Bognor

Eddie off to Bognor to try free diving with entire family in tow. Also a bit of Lucy and Luka on the beach. Luka being the son of Ivana (previous childminder) and Kevin the free diver (partner of Ivana).

Party Day

Party over. Mum and Dad calming down. Not too bad really - no injuries. This is a photo of Lucy afterwards when she was making a tower with her Jenga rather than bugging us to play any more games.

Dairy Free

Dairy Free birthday cake because Lucy has invited Zoe...

Wimborne Juniors

What a relief. Lucy is going to be in the same class as Billie and Jensen next year when she goes up to Juniors

All scrubbed. Going to have them for tea tonight.

Lucy's new school is having a parents' evening tonight so Eddie is going to get home early and I am going to go to that.

Twins are upstairs in bed having just had a bowl of pear and prunes. Tom has currently decided that the only thing he will eat is fruit and fromage frais. Oh well.

Tiger caught a bird

I heard a bird screeching in pain/horror this morning as I was cleaning the kitchen. When I looked up it was Beep slinking along the wall with a bird in her mouth. I flapped a bit - then Eddie made a move to the cat flap - also flapping a bit - and Beep got a bit of a surprise and let go of the bird. Surprisingly, it flew happily away. Well - I hope it was happily - it can't have been too badly damaged (I hope) if it flew. Beep has been looking pretty pissed off ever since!

Banana Revisited

Tried banana again this lunchtime after a very luke warm reception a month or two ago. They now seemed to think it is quite nice - though I did mix in a couple of spoons of natural fromage frais.

Getting irritated with people who haven't replied to Lucy's party invitations

Or Rat

Eddie went up to the play house to check the mouse was dead this morning. It had crawled about a foot apparently before shuffling off to the next world. Also Eddie's thinks it was a young rat rather than a large mouse. Yeuch.

Live mouse

Geee - thanks Sweep. A live mouse today. I've picked it up and put it in Lucy's playhouse so it can hopefully expire in peace. I'm not quite up to putting it out of it's misery.

Sweep the executioner is back

Yesterday morning there was a little mouse waiting for me when I came downstairs. Today he'd caught a little bird and brought it in before Lucy noticed what he was up to.

With the able assistance of Lucy's erstwhile childminder, I am now attending the playgroup circuit. Ivana has taken me under her wing and is showing me the ways of the local playgroup. Today I attended Connor's Toy Library at Havelock Community Centre - which is actually just down the road from our old house on Fawcett Road. We lived there for 7 years and I had no idea what a community centre was. Tomorrow is apparently Trinity Church Playgroup (hopefully no religion included) - which is the rather venetian looking church again very close to our old house on Fawcett Road.

Tom and Lottie seemed to rather enjoy it. Tom is getting used to being surrounded by cooing ladies (As long as they don't poke their heads in his face). They both seem to be getting used to Katya (Ivana's baby) - to start with they found her rather surprising because she wasn't the usual "other baby face".

Kevin's video of catching the sea bass

This is Kevin's video of catching the sea bass. Eddie is now inspired to be a spear fisher.
