Back Door and Spaghetti Bolognese

Both twins managed to successfully negotiate the back door today. Unfortunate, considering the cat food has moved to just outside the back door where Tom, up til now, could not reach it.

Tom made a bit of a fuss when he landed on the prickly mat the other side of the door.

All 3 had spaghetti bolognese for tea. Well - the twins had fusili as I tried them with spaghetti yesterday and they played with it instead of eating it.

Shame Lucy is so disgusting.

Walking along furniture

Lottie obviously.

She seems to be walking along furniture to get to things today. Not to mention using the kitchen pedal bin as a stroller.

Blue Reef

Decided on Blue Reef instead of the castle today. Lucy enjoyed the fountains outside and Charlotte enjoyed the sand. Tom decided he was scared of sand though and started crying whenever I put him near it :(

Southsea Castle

Apparently Southsea castle is free with your library card so I think we'll head down there and try that tomorrrow.

children feeding

Well today I thought they could all have their meals together so at lunchtime they had pasta mixed with cream cheese, boiled carrots and broccoli. Tom and Lottie sat in their high chairs and shovelled it in with their hands and Lucy sat beside them. That seemed to work quite well (except Tom needed an emergency poo stop at the start). For tea we did the same routine but with mashed potato, peas, fish fingers, carrots and broccoli. Lottie thought it was great fun. They both did pretty well with the mashed potato and peas.

You can imagine the mess.

Staunton

Went to Staunton Country Park yesterday. It was free as they were holding a "water festival". It was also raining. The farm had run out of animal feed so we walked round that pretty fast then walked over the road to the bit with the "free water activities". The most interesting part was when Tom decided it was 3 days since he'd had a poo and so it must be time again - and went purple and hysterical in the middle of a field. Poor lad.

Lucy and I also went to a dog event in Bransbury park - well - it was a dog show but it had some bouncy castles which she went on. Other than that it wasn't terribly interesting unless you own a dog.

Eddie is now away for 3 days doing some work thing.

Bread and Chocolate Spread

Poo!

Poor old Tom - been holding on to his poo for the last 4 days - finally gave in to the pressure today and did 2. Boy he makes quite a fuss.

Meanwhile Lucy reported to be bored at 10.23am today (first day of holidays). She has already completed the first stage to "Questseekers" at the library so we went up for her to report in to the librarians and get her stickers.

We're all of out for a run (well cycle for Lucy and sleep for the twins) in a bit when I've done the washing up

More teeth

Lottie has #5 and #6 coming through at the top now.

Race for life results

p.s. all went well with the Race For Life - I crossed the line with the clock reading 24 mins 55 secs

GPS file

Last Day at Infants

Lucy's last day at Wimborne Infants today. She has a disco this afternoon.

Tom meanwhile has broken the DVD drive on the computer by pressing the button then hanging onto it when it ejects.

Lottie is a daredevil and climbs anything she can. It's all quite scary. She climbed on her bouncy chair this morning and had a route planned via a dinner chair, onto the table but I ruined her plans by lifting her down and moving the bouncy chairs away.

Tommy tries standing

Eddie managed to persuade Tommy to have a go at standing up (for the first time) today. I think he might have tried it when he was newborn but he has completely refused to do it since.

Tommy's top teeth

One of Tommy's top teeth is coming through.

Meanwhile I've knackered my ankle and have the Race For Life on Sunday. Woops. 2 days off running I think.

Tommy and Cat Food

Tom, Sweep and the cat food!

Cheerios and banana

Both have been enjoying cheerios for breakfast for the last couple of days. They tried some little bits of banana today too. They're doing very well. Lottie is, as ever, a bit more keen than Tom.

Crawling

Thomas has got it pretty much now. Just checked back - Lottie got it on June 15th so he's not doing toooooo badly.

Finger food

Tried them with finger food today. Neither liked cucumber. They both had a go at toast. Booiled carrot sticks and broccoli had no success at lunch but by tea time Lottie ate all of hers and all of Tom's

Sleeping bags.

Tom worked out how to get out of his sleeping bag today. Naughty boy.

Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park today - a visit courtesy of NDS. Eddie and Lucy went on the carousel and Tom and Lottie were entertained with Wotsits. Lucy got her face painted as a peacock.

Top Teeth and Heat Rash

Lottie's top teeth are coming through now. I'm glad Tommy got his bottom teeth before that happened though. Tommy seems to have a heat rash today - not sure - but arms and legs have little spots and it looks like the pictures for heat rash - he seems fine so I don't think I'm going to worry about it.
