Father Christmas outfits have arrived for the 5km fun run!

I entered us all in a 5km Santa fun run in December. A chap just brought the outfits to the door – what fun. The twins haven’t got outfits though – apparently we have to stick tinsel on the buggy instead for them!

MMR?

Wondering if Tom is sick because of his MMR jab. The measles part of the vaccine kicks in about a week after the jab and that makes some children sad it seems.

Poor little boy.

Lottie can walk

Lottie has been walking a few steps unaided for about a week – this morning she managed 14 in a row across a room which is a personal best!

MMR and temperatures

Lucy has a temperature this morning so I gave her some Calpol - she wanted to go to school though so fingers crossed she feels OK. Sarah has instructions to pick her up if the school call up. Twins had their MMR yesterday and seem totally fine so that's a bit of good news. They're off to Krazy Kaves with Sarah this morning so I hope they have fun. They were both having a bath when I got home yesterday and seemed to be having a nice time so that is nice. Sarah says Tom made a friend at playgroup yesterday - a little girl who kept holding his hand. Ahhhhhh.

day 2

Questioning the wisdom of returning to work. All seems OK but it feels very strange leaving Tom and Lottie at home.

Runner beans and new shoes

Lucy is growing runner beans for school. This is what they looked like today. Also the twins have got their first pair of shoes...

Play pens and new shoes

OK. Happier now. Playpens have arrived – in time for me to go out for a run and twins’ shoes have arrived. They’re now all set for me to go back to work on Monday. Portsmouth Water engineer coming round tomorrow to try to find out what the water leak in the kitchen is. Shame it’s still raining though.

Runner Bean

Lucy's runner beans that we have planted for a school project have just sent a shoot up through the soil.

Physalis and Pomegranate

Tried both - Tom seems to like pomegranate. Lottie gave both a shot but didn't seem very impressed.

Words

Words is an exaggeration - but they both say "Ta" and "Cat" - both sound the same - like a very short "Ta" - but they say it either when they see the cats are when they want to give you something.

Eddie and Lucy are up at Novatech buying £400 of bits to fix the PC. Twins are sleeping and I've just done the Tesco.com shopping.

The Busy List

Things keep on getting added to this weekend's busy list.. The computer is playing up so Eddie needs to sort out that by buying various new bits and pieces. We think it would be nice to have a proper desk for it to sit on and keep things out of reach of the twins, so that's my responsibility. I'm also thinking of sorting out my motorbike for work - so I'd need to do insurance for that first before I can get it serviced and MOT'd then taxed. What next... well I need new jeans and the twins need shoes so that's a trip to Gunwharf and there was another thing too... Oh yes - I need to go through and sort out all the twins ao it isn't so tricky for Sarah. I'll need to make a big bag of clothes that are too small and pass them on to a new owner. We're away next weekend, staying at a cravan in Dorset so won't have time for last minute preparation next weekend.
